CBCS students receive Trailblazer Research Scholars Award

Four students from the College of Behavioral and Community Sciences (CBCS) were recognized with USF Sarasota-Manatee Trailblazer Graduate Research Scholarships at the 2025 Student Research Awards Luncheon on April 30.

The Trailblazer Graduate Research Scholarship is designed for graduate students to gain valuable training and experience in research through collaboration with a faculty member located on the USF Sarasota-Manatee campus.

Congratulations to the awardees from CBCS:

  • Klejdis Bilali, doctoral student in the Department of Criminology
  • Kelsey Greenfield, doctoral student in the Department of Mental Health Law and Policy
  • Sally Selevan, doctoral student in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders
  • Katelyn Smith, doctoral student in the Department of Criminology

The goal of the Trailblazers Research Scholarship Program is to support mentored research experiences for master's- and doctoral-level students through working with world-renowned faculty researchers in a variety of fields and disciplines available to share their expertise. Trailblazer scholars will work closely with faculty mentors, participate in professional development opportunities, and engage in a rich intellectual and cultural campus life.
